An experimental airplane is flying northwest from Nashville, at an altitude of 18,000 ft. The pilot has reported his Mach =.75 The airplane has a wingspan of 100 ft and an aspect ratio of 7.5 The wing section for the airplane is a NACA 1412 airfoil (assume the 2-D airfoil data is applicable for the aircraft) and the alpha for the airfoil in flight is 4 deg. Determine the lift.
