A nucleus of mass number A, initially at rest, absorbs a neutron which is moving very slowly (of negligible kinetic energy). The rest mass of the neutron is 1.0087 u. An alpha particle of mass 4.0026u leaves the reaction with velocity 1.95 × 107 m/s, and a daughter nucleus of mass number A-3 and mass 220.046 u is also observed leaving the reaction. Determine the kinetic energy, in MeV, to three decimal places, of the daughter nucleus.
