A 480V, 60Hz, Y-connected 2 pole synchronous generator has internal parameters of Armature Resistance 0.05ohms, Synchronous Reactance 0.5ohms. The input power to the geenrator is 100hp. When the generator is operating at rated values and unity power factor, the generator is 80% efficient.

a.) Find the generator speed in rpm and rad/sec.

b.) Find the mechanical torque supplied to the generator.

c.) Find the output power in watts and horsepower.

d.) Find the output current.

e.) Determine the induced internal voltage and torque angle.

f.) Find the electric losses.

g.) Find the constant losses in the generator.

h.) If the output power remains constant and the power factor changes to 0.8 leading, find the new required input power in watts and horsepower.
