A uniform flow of normal depth 6 ft is developed upstream in a rectangular channel 10 ft wideand laid on a slope of 0.004. The Manning's coefficient n is given as 0.0149. There is a smooth step on the floor. If the water depth immediately upstream of the step is 8 ft, determine the height of the step.
