A piston-cylinder assembly with a free piston contains 0.45 m3 of propane vapor and 0.05 m3 of liquid propane as a saturated liquid-vapor mixture at 20 C. The propane is stirred by a paddlewheel until it becomes a saturated vapor. The total energy input to the system by the paddlewheel is 9000 kJ. Determine the heat transfer and the entropy produced during this process. Draw a p-v diagram for this process. Neglect any changes in kinetic and potential energy.
