The concrete walls and roof of a garage are 15-cm thick. The inside dimensions of the garage are 8-m long, 6-m wide, and 2.5-m high. The door is made of 12-mm thick hardwood and is 6-m wide and 2.5-m high. The garage is modeled in the figure below. On a cold day, the garage is electrically heated. The inside and outside surface temperatures are 5oC and -10oC, respectively. Determine the heat fluxes through the walls, roof, and the door, and the total heat transfer rate through the walls, roof, and the door. K concrete = 0.663w/mk, K wood= 0.17 w/mK
