A pendulum bob of mass 0.200 Kg is pulled to one side such that it has a height of 0.50 m relative to its rest position (that is, its lowest point). It is then released so that it swings back and forth.

a) Describe what is happening at each of the locations indicated (A, B, C, and D) in terms of motion, energy, and energy transformation.

b) Determine the gravitational potential energy at the highest point.

c) How much work has to be done to get the bob to its maximum height in the first place?

d) If the kinetic energy of the bob at point B (the lowest point) is 0.98 J, what is the speed of the pendulum?
