Assignment - LED (Light Emitting Diode):- It is a semiconductor light source that provide visible light when it reaches to its threshold. In order to get a LED to be active, a forward voltage is applied to generate the current providing the visible light. The symbol of LED is shown.
PROPOSED SOLUTIONS AND RESULTS -
EXPERIMENT - 1N4002 Silicon Diode
1. Determine the forward and reverse voltage for silicon(1N4002) diode using DMM by choosing the diode test function.
2. Build the circuit connects a 1K? resistor and 1N4002 diode in series with a variable power source (E) as given in figure 2 below. Note that the value E is set 0V at the beginning.
3. Set the DC power supply to each given value E in the table below and measure VD and ID for each E value. Fill the table.
