• Determine the extent that certainty of science matters as a basis for policy making. Explain if certainty is important and justify your response with evidence from the published literature.

• Explain the extent that politics (or ideology and special interest lobbying) shape science and if it is ethically justified. Support your response with evidence from the published literature.

• To what extent can/should public administrators challenge political positions on science?

Support your paper with at least four scholarly resources; to include mandatory scholarly resources provided. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
