A. Steam enters well-insulated turbine at 7000 kPa, 600°C, with a velocity of 288 kph and leaves the turbine at 50 kPa and 150°C, at a velocity of 504 kph. The power output of the turbine is 6600 kW. Determine the following:

a) the mass flow rate of the steam

b) the isentropic efficiency

B. Air enters an adiabatic nozzle at 45 psia and 940°F with negligible velocity and exits at 650 ft/s. If the isentropic efficiency of the nozzle is 85 percent, determine the exit temperature and pressure of the air.
