A serial transmission is set up for 8 bits with odd parity. The first two bytes of data are 01110111 with parity bit 1 and 01101010 with parity bit 0. From this we know that there are no errors in transmission. word 1 is correct and word 2 is in error. word 1 is in error and word 2 is correct. both words are in error.
