Explore the N2/NO/NO2 equilibrium in ambient atmosphere (P = 1 atm, T = 25 oC) after the oxides NO and NO2 have been produced by combustion at 2000 K. The relevant reactions are:
0.5N2 + 0.5O2 = NO
NO + 0.5O2 = NO2
Consider that the initial exhaust gas composition is a result of diesel fuel combustion in 30% excess air.
