The relevant reactions are: 0.5N2 + 0.5O2 = NO NO + 0.5O2 = NO2 Consider that the initial exhaust gas composition is a result of diesel fuel combustion in 30% excess air.

(b) Determine the equilibrium mole fractions of NO and NO2. Comment on their change with respect to the exhaust gas composition at 2000 K.
