A closed, rigid, stationary and adiabatic pressure vessel initially contains two-phase H_2O at a pressure of 175 kPa and a quality of 0.22036. The initial volume of the pressure vessel is 9.009 m^3. A mechanical stirrer adds energy as work to the contents of the pressure vessel until the final pressure of the steam is 1.80 MPA. Determine the entropy generation and the work transfer to or from the steam. Is the process irreversible, reversible, or impossible?
