DOP is a plasticizer used in poly (vinyl chloride) to make the polymer soft as well as flexible for water-proofing fabrics. DOP consists only of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms. The combustion of 17.422 g of DOP in excess oxygen yields 47.119 g of CO2 and 15.274 g of H2O. 12.01 g/mol, O: 16.00 g/mol, H: 1.008 g/mol)
