This is a general question, nothing is missing, and no data is needed. Please read my statement below. And explain why you agree or disagree with me.

The leadership function that I chose was decision-making processes. Organizational cultures differ because once a person joins, they learn the culture and are made up of different practices (Hofstede, 2013). In the Army, we have the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) which assists staff members and commanders to think critically, plan collaboratively, and prepare for upcoming operations, missions, and exercises (Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), n.d.). Generally, the staff will develop the mission based off of the current situation and provide the commander different courses of action. The commander will then receive the information and decide on the course of action he or she would like to take or provide further guidance. Once the commander has made a decision, the staff and down trace units will execute. These functions are effectively carried out in Hofstede's Power Distance Index (PDI) since military orders are accepted based on a hierarchical order (Hofstede, National culture, n.d.). Soldiers are to execute military orders as long as it is not unethical, immoral, or illegal. The rank structure helps people to know their place and their roles and responsibilities, which in turn helps to ensure mission success.
