A floor system consists of wide flange steel beams (W18 x 60) equally spaced at 8ft center to center. A 6inch reinforced concrete slab spans between beams. The bottom of the slab is coated with plaster and the top of the slab has ¾inch hardwood floor. The ME&P is estimated at 4 psf. Every other beam there is a wall directly above the beam that consists of wood studs 2 x 4 plastered on two sides. The wall height is 9 feet. Including the beam weight, determine the dead load per unit of length

a) on a beam that carries a wall

b) on a beam that does not carry a wall.
