Description of LASA

You conducted a literature review of GLD models and applied them to a specific organizational context of your choice in order to test their applicability. You wrote a report on your GLD model analysis.

For this assignment, you will create a comprehensive plan of approximately 10-12 pages for the development of global (multicultural) competencies for leaders in an organization operating at a multinational level. The organization for which you will develop this plan is the one you have previously chosen in your Module 4 RA (UNILEVER). The goal is to enhance global leader competencies throughout the organization so that individuals within the organization are able to address the level of diversity and global mindedness necessary to fulfill their tasks successfully.

Directions

Using the Argosy University online library resources and the Internet for research, select at least six (6) scholarly articles different from the course readings for use in this assignment.

Create a GLD plan for your selected case organization that integrates GLD into the organization so that it becomes a part of the institutional design of the organization. It should include:

1. Assessment of the global context in which this organization works.

  • Explain the global factors and conditions that may affect their success on a global scale.
  • Analyze various important stakeholders and their impact on leadership development needs.

2. Assessment of the internal factors within the organization that may enhance or constrain their capacity to be successful in a global context.

  • Describe the process by which you would determine the current level of global leadership readiness within the organization.
  • Evaluate if the existing structure and leadership style is conducive to global leadership success. Draw on the GLD models and best practices from the course readings and your research.
  • Explain which aspects of the company align with the models, and where you have identified opportunities for growth.

3. Recommendations on strategies for developing GL competencies, based on research and best practices with demonstrated success, and considering the areas identified in steps #1 and #2.

4. Analysis of the importance of ethics in GLD. Explain how your suggestion accounts for the development of ethical behavior in a global context, and how the process of inclusivity and implementation is ethical from an internal and external perspective.
