The train car has a mass of 10 mg and is traveling at 5 m/s when it reaches A. If the rolling resistance is 1/100 of the weight of the car, determine the compression of each spring when the car is momentarily brought to rest. The train is moving to the left. At the instant shown, there is 30 m between the train and the springs. Spring 1 has k=300 kN/m, spring 2 has k=500 kN/m.
