Determine Compliance of Construction Methods

This task requires you to determine the compliance of construction methods in the project plans. Specifically, you must determine two criteria for each construction method done to identify specific information from and interpret codes and standards related to the project plans you have secured.

Steps to take:
1. Access and review the project plans from Task 1.1.
2. Locate the Construction Method Compliance form provided for you on the following pages.
The Construction Method Compliance form will be used to document the criteria that can be used to determine the compliance of the construction methods with the performance requirements set by the NCC.
Review the instructions here and in the Construction Method Compliance form with your supervisor before starting so you can prepare for the tasks.
3. Using the Construction Method Compliance form, identify the following:
i. One construction method for each of the following building properties:
a. Energy efficiency
b. Services and equipment
c. Fire protection
d. Health and amenity
e. Structure
f. Safe movement and access
g. Ancillary provisions
The methods above must be the same as the ones in the project plans that you accessed. The construction methods must also be related to the performance requirements you have identified in Task 2.1.
ii. Two criteria used for each construction method to determine compliance with the NCC performance requirements

4. Have your supervisor review your completed Construction Method Compliance form. Your supervisor must also complete and sign the Supervisor Declaration at the end of the form. Their signature must be handwritten.
