A heat engine operates between a hot resrvoir at 1500k and a cold reservoir at 500k. During each cycle, 1.0x10^5 J of heat is removed from the hot reservoir and 5.0x10^4J of work is performed.

a. Determine the Carnot efficiency of this engine?

b. What is the actual efficiency of this engine?

c. Determine the change in entropy of the cold reservoir.

d. Suppose the engine's cold reservoir is connected to a river allowing it to maintain the 500k temperature. If regulations require only 1-degree change in water temperature, than what is the minimum flow rate required to operate the power plant? Assume that the river had a temperature of 300k, and that power plant produces 5.0x10^4 J of work every microsecond.
