Two binary symmetrical channels are in cascade, as shown in Figure 11.45. Determine the capacity of each channel. The overall system with inputs x1 and x2 and outputs z1 and z2 can be represented as shown with p11, p12, p21, and p22 properly chosen. Determine these four probabilities and the capacity of the overall system. Comment on the results.
