Project Title: SkyWrench Maintenance Hangar Relocation
Budget Information: The firm has allocated $100,000 for this project. There will be no additional funds devoted to this project under any circumstances. There are no constrains upon the budget process and the project management team will have full autonomy for spending decisions. Approximately $2000 will be used for catering (51 employees x $20 per person = $2000), $18,360 will be used for internal labor ($30 x 1.5 =$45 an hour for overtime, $45 x 8 hours x 51 employees = $18,360), and $100 material.

Project Objectives: Successfully move a 51-person maintenancehangar with an inventory of 25 file cabinets, 3 data servers, 10 employees cubical with desks, 2 conference rooms of furniture, satellite uplink equipment, 400,000 parts inventory and shelving, 1 heavy crane, 4 forklifts, 90 pieces of stationary equipment that can be moved with a forklift, and 60 pieces of wheeled equipment facility from Hangar 12 to the new larger Hangar 18 without interrupting normal business operations (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm), not consuming more than 10% of anyone's time, and within 10 days from Hangar 18 being deemed complete.
Success Criteria: This project will be successful if the transition from Hangar 12 to Hangar 18 is seamless by not interrupting normal business operations (M-F 8am to 5pm) or consuming more than 10% of anyone's time. The transition should also be completed within the allotted amount of time (within 10 days from the completion date of Hangar 18), be ran professionally, and meet all of the requirements. The project sponsor will fill out a customer acceptance / project completion form at the end of the project and give the project at least a 7 out of 10 overall rating.
Approach:
• Brief all employees the plan of the employees moving the inventory from Hangar 12 to Hangar 18, inform them on the schedule for the transition, inform them on overtime and hour constraints, and finally inform them on their responsibilities.
• Work closely with internal managers and employees to determine the best approaches for the transition.
• Give employee tour and walk through of Hangar 18
• Manage throughout the 10 day project to ensure all task required are complete on schedule and within timeframe allotted.
• Have employees to move inventory from Hangar 12 to Hangar 18.
• Ask employees for their feedback on any issues they may be experiencing from the transition and troubleshoot the problem.
