A steel ball of mass 0.5 kg is fired vertically up from the edge of a building 20 m high with an initial speed of 10 m/s. When it falls back on the ground at the base of the building, it gets buried in sand to a depth of 0.2 m. Determine: the average resistance force that sand exerts on the ball.
