Case: In this assignment, you will conduct a two significance tests of your choice (PER GROUP MEMBER) using your variables: chi-square, t-test, and correlation. You can choose to do two of the same test or one each of two different types of tests. Remember the appropriate levels of measurement for each type of test! You may have to recode your data and be sure to have addressed any missing data (remember, Excel just knows they are numbers so you will like have to delete them.)
You will report the null and alternative hypotheses related to each test and report the findings. The hypotheses should be informed by the research you conducted in your literature review. You can rely on the hypothesis worksheet to help construct your hypotheses that I will attach.
Present the information for each test on separate worksheets in your Excel dataset. I will attach the reference example.
Follow these steps to complete the assignment:
Question 1. Determine which variables you are interested in testing for statistical relationships.
Question 2. Determine the appropriate type of test for those variables.
Question 3. In separate worksheets, copy the variables of interest over.
Question 4. Delete any missing values (typically 0s, 8s, and 9s, but this will depend on your variables). You can find them easily by sorting the data column (be sure to expand the selection when prompted!).
Question 5. In empty cells in the separate worksheets, clearly label and state the null and alternative hypotheses. Be sure to refer to the previous research from your literature review to support your alternative hypothesis.
Question 6. Conduct the appropriate statistical test.
Question 7. Report the findings in an empty cell near your hypotheses. Report the statistics in APA format. I will attach a reference example.
