A nozzle is attached to a horizontal pipe and discharges water into the atmosphere as shown in the figure. The inflow flow rate is 0.15m3/s and the gage pressure is 50kPa at the flanges. The nozzle has a weight of 150N and the volume of the water in the nozzle is 0.02m3. Determine the anchoring force required to hold the nozzle in place, including the horizontal (Fx) and vertical (Fy) components.
