A river is discharging into the ocean at a rate of 400,000 m3 /s. Determine the amount of power that can be generated if the river water mixes with the ocean water reversibly. Take the salinity of the ocean to be 3.5 percent on mass basis, and assume both the river and the ocean are at 15°C.
