The energy equivalent of one gallon of gasoline is 1.3 × 108 Joule. A compact car has a mass of 836 kilogram, and its efficiency is rated at 18.4 percent. (That is 18.4 percent of the input power available is delivered to the wheels.) Determine the amount of gasoline used to accelerate the car from rest to 22.7 m/s.

Answer in units of gal.
