An acid-base neutralization reaction causes the temperature of asolution and beaker to rise from 23 degrees Celcius to 89 degreesCelcius. The volume of the solution is 435 mL. Determine the amountof energy released by this reaction. Assume the specific heat ofthe solution, which is dilute, is the same as that of water andthat the beaker has a heat capacity of 330 J/degree Celcius.
