A capillary tube with a closed end is place into water. The pressure on free water surface is 1 bar. Suppose that the capillary tube is cylindrical with radius of 50 microns. The contact angle of water on the tube surface is measured 20o, and the air-water interfacial tension is 70 mN/m. Water density is 1000 kg/m3, air density is 1.2 kg/m3, and g = 9.8m/s2. Determine the air pressure inside the capillary tube if the water-air interface would be 20 millimeter above the free water surface.
