The following data has been developed of a product whose standard time is 1.125 minutes, and comprises of six different parts. Scrap from each part is estimated to be 2%, 1.5% 0%, 3%, 2.25% and 1% respectively. The company runs two eight-hour shifts per day and each shift produces 1800 units per day. If the plant efficiency is 92%, unproductive time is 40 minutes per shift and there is a 2% allowance, determine the following. Determine, the actual production volume per shift, the plant rate and the number of machines and workers.
