The vapor pressure of a beaker of dilute aqueous solution of sucrose at 25 degree C is 3.111 kPa. Find the activity of water in this sucrose solution, given that the vapor pressure of pure water at 25 degree C is 3.167 kPa. (b) If a 2.00 mol/kg aqueous sucrose solution has a vapor pressure of 3.033 kPa at 25 degree C, find the activity and activity coefficient of water in this solution.
