The electron are emitted from a heating element and are then accelerate d through very small holes in the center of two charged circular disks which are 3 cm in diameter and separated by by 10 cm. Each circular disk is charged to a charge density of 0.3 uC/m^2. Assuming that the disks form a circular parallel plate capacitor and the electron are initially at rest when they pass through the first disk.
