Some people argue that the MINIMUM WAGE by pricing many unskilledteenagers out of the labor market, cause them to turn to sellingdrugs. After all, if a person can't get a job legally, they willget one illegally. The alternative is to starve.
Other people disagree. They argue that some teenagers would stillsell drugs even if all could be hired at the MINIMUM WAGE because of the monetary difference between clerking for $7.00 an hour and selling drugs for hundreds of dollars a week.
