Lane one (normal control) has a band at 4400 bp and lane two (cells from cheek) has bands at 4400 bp, 3300 bp, and 1400 bp.

1) where did the other two bands come from? What is the relationship of their sizes (in base pairs) to the normal allele's band?

2) Why are these other two bands found even in tissues which there is no cancer? (Hint: think two hit hypothesis)
