A student has a coil of unknown inductance and resistance. He connects it in series with a 100 ohm resistor, places a voltmeter across the resistor, and connects the whole circuit to a power supply. When the power supply is 60 V DC, the voltmeter reads 50.0 V. When the power supply is 60 V rms at 1000 kHz, the voltmeter reads 30.4 V. Determine R and L of the coil.
