Consider the half-wave rectifier shown in Figure. The ac source has an rms value of 20 V and a frequency of 60 Hz. The diodes are ideal, and the capacitance is very large, so the ripple voltage Vr is very small. The load is a 100-Ω resistance. Determine the peak inverse voltage across the diode and the charge that passes through the diode per cycle.
