Question: It seems that ordinary party members will always be able to vote in the process of selecting a party leader, and they also have the power at party conventions to vote for a leadership convention. But should the elected MPs of the party have the power between conventions to force a party leader to resign, as often happens in Australia and is provided for in Michael Chong's Reform Act? Do you think the caucus is in a better position to determine the need for a leadership change than the general party membership, or is party democracy a sacred principle?
