Question: As an OD professional, it is important to consider the type of data you will collect as well as the methods you will use to collect the data. Three of the most commonly used research (data collection) methods are quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods, where mixed methods is a combination of quantitative and qualitative. For this discussion, share the data collection method(s) you prefer, and share an example of how you have collected data in the past or how you would like to in the future. The example for this discussion does not have to be strictly academic in nature. Instead, think about examples of data collection that you use at church, at work, with friends, or any other part of your life. Then, share your perspective as to why you like the method and how it has been (or will be) advantageous for you.
