A waiter shoves a ketchup bottle with mass 0.45 kilogram toward the right along a smooth, level lunch counter to a waitress standing 2 meter away. As the bottle leaves his hand, it has an initial velocity of 3.8 m/s. When the bottle is caught by the waitress, its velocity is 1.00 m/s.

(a) Determine the acceleration of the bottle.

(b) Determine how long did it take the bottle to travel this distance?

(c) Draw a free-body diagram for the bottle as it slides along the counter top.

(d) Find the coefficient of kinetic friction between the bottle and the countertop.
