Three wells monitor water levels (piezometric heads) in a confined aquifer. Well A is located 2000 ft due north of well B. Well C is located 3000 ft due east of well B (sketch this). The surface elevations of A, B and C are 900, 1050 and 850 ft, respectively. The depth to water in A is 210 ft, in B is300 ft, and C is 230 ft. Determine the direction of ground water flow through the triangle ABC and calculate the hydraulic gradient. If the aquifer hydraulic conductivity is 30 ft/day, estimate how far ground water will flow in one year
