The Assessment Method Results form will be used to document the assessment methods you will apply to the Performance Solutions and Deemed-to-Satisfy Solutions from Task 2.1.

3. Assess the construction methods identified in Task 2.2 to determine their compliance with either the Performance Solutions or Deemed-to-Satisfy Solutions in Task 2.1.
You may use the following assessment methods:
i. The following verification methods:
a. Testing
b. Inspection
c. Calculation
The verification methods above must only be used for Performance Solutions
ii. Expert judgment
iii. Comparison with the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions in the Building Code of Australia Volume 1.
The solutions compared with the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions must be equal or superior to the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions to be considered meeting the Performance Requirements.
iv. Evidence of suitability

4. Using the Assessment Method Results form, document the following information:

i. The construction method identified from Task 2.2 for each building property.
ii. Either the Performance Solution or the Deemed-to-Satisfy Solution to be compared against in using the assessment method.
Across all the building properties, at least one Performance Solution and at least one Deemed-to-Satisfy Solution must be used as a point of compliance, i.e. all construction methods cannot be compared against Performance Solutions only or Deemed-to-Satisfy Solutions only.
iii. The assessment method applied to each construction method
iv. A brief explanation of how the assessment method was applied to each construction method
v. Whether each construction method complies with the Performance Solution or Deemed-to-Satisfy Solution
vi. A brief explanation of the compliance decision.
