Supervisors at all levels should act as safety leaders to prevent accidents. Some people connect to associate traits they typically identify with leadership. Nevertheless, this does not signify that everyone can be a safety leader. What identifies a person as a leader?
Leadership that esteems both production and people achieves the best results in getting people to perform (Blake & Mouton, 1964).
Task
Question I. Describe the meaning of leadership in the business or industrial workplace chosen for your research topic.(My Topic is Industry Group 806: Hospitals in particular 8063 Psychiatric Hospitals).
Question II. Use course material and other creditable resources to explain your thoughts about safety and health leadership. Explain your point of view clearly and thoroughly about safety leadership, safety leaders, performance, safety culture, and risk management and how management can use data to improve safety.
Question III. Is there a correlation between these safety factors? Determine and explain the influences to manage risk. Provide an example of appropriate action for handling a latent accident.
Question IV. Discuss the pros and cons of safety and health leadership in the business or industrial workplace chosen for your research topic.
