The Project Plan Outline must be carefully constructed, as it is the controlling document for the creation of a system and the expenditure of resources.
Project managers must work with the various project stakeholders (e.g., managers, end users, clients, customers, etc.) to determine all internal and external constraints and restraints on the development effort as well as the scope and general requirements for the system itself.
Throughout this course, you will work on a project in a group. You will need to form your groups this Week. Each group should ideally have four people, but groups of three or five are also acceptable.
Develop and write the Goals and Objectives section of the project plan. It is expected that this section of the Project Plan Outline will be three to four pages in length.
As you progress through this course, you will receive comments from your Instructor. As you revise your Project Plan Outline, make sure that you track and note the changes in the revision history portion of the Project Plan Outline. In the real world, the project plan does not get amended.
However, for successful completion of your Project Plan Outline, your group will continually revise the Project Plan Outline draft as you receive feedback from your Instructor.
Please note your changes in the revision history portion of the Project Plan Outline document.
