Hot Exhaust gases are used to heat water at 100kpa and 15 degree C to produce saturated water vapor at 200 degree C through a heat exchanger. The exhaust gases enter the heat exchanger at 400 degree C at a rate of 36kg/min. The heat exchanger is not will insulated and 20% of the heat from the exhaust gases is lost to the surroundings. If the mass flow of the exhaust gases is 30 times that of the water, determine a) the rate of the heat transfer to the water; b) the temperature of the exhaust gases at the exit. (given Cp = 1.100 kj/kg K for the exhaust gases)
