In an ideal dual combustion cycle conditions at the commencement of adiabatic compression are 93 kPa, 0.05 m3 and 24°C, respectively. The adiabatic compression volume ration is 9:1. The constant volume heat addition pressure ratio is 1.5 and the constant pressure heat addition volume ratio is 2. If Cp = 105 kJ/kg-K and Cv = 0.775 kJ/kg-K, determine (a) the pressure, volume and temperature at the state points of the cycle (b) the thermal efficiency of the cycle (c) the work done per cycle. Solution for b) 48% Solution for c) 44.4 kJ.
