Figure, which is not drawn to scale, shows a four-strand roller chain idler sprocket that rotates on a stationary shaft, supported by two sliding-surface bearings inside the sprocket. The chain transmits 3.7 kW at a chain velocity of 4 m/s, and the sprocket diameter is 122.3 mm. The distance between the inside edges of the sprocket shaft support is 115 mm.
