Problem
Personally, I think trustworthiness is only an aspect in which helps to determine a leader's credibility, but is not established by. For example, I believe that a leader must be trustworthy to build their credibility. Someone whom is untrustworthy certainly will not be as credible as someone who holds that attribute. Although trustworthiness is among the important attributes in which describes a leader, I think that there are other characteristics in which help give credibility to the role of being a leader. When an organization trusts their leader, they tend to work smoothly with less issues arising along the way. I think that when a leader is trustworthy, their employees automatically trust that they will do right by not only the company, but for themselves as well. When organizations do not trust their leaders, I think it can become very messy. For example, President Trump is unfavored by many, resulting in many riots and uprisings among the American people since he has been in office. Now, that is not to say that those who are in favor of Trump believe he is doing nothing less than an excellent job. I think that many different topics and subjects go in to making someone credible. Not everyone agrees on every topic, therefore no one will ever agree on the same leader. I think by trusting the leader is not only respectful and speaks volumes on your own personal characteristics, but I think it can quickly show the true colors of the leader by how the leader reacts. According for Forbes, "One of the biggest mistakes a leader can make is to assume that others trust him simply by virtue of his title. Trust is not a benefit that comes packaged with the nameplate on your door. It must be earned, and it takes time. As a leader, you are trusted only to the degree that people believe in your ability, consistency, integrity, and commitment to deliver." (p. 2).
