Question 1. You are designing vaccines against Extremisa Tireditism. You have injected volunteers who have never been exposed to E. Tireditism before with the E. Tireditism antigen, APATHX and are monitoring the outcomes. APATHX is a large, complex protein antigen and you know from earlier animal testing that neutralizing antibodies against APATHX can protect against disease and transmission of E. Tireditism. You draw blood from volunteers two weeks after injection with APATHX and look at the IgG antibodies present. You find that volunteers have developed high affinity neutralizing antibodies against APATHX (anti-APATHX IgG). If you also looked at the IgM antibodies, would you also expect to find IgM against APATHX in the volunteers? Explain.
