Question: According to Kettner et al. (2017, p. 10), "the idea of conducting periodic checkups is, in essence, what effectiveness-based learning program planning is all about." The idea behind this is to take a program and define a problem they are facing. Once the problem is discovered, they will go through a series of measuring the problem, providing intervention, measuring the problem after the intervention has been put into place, and conduct follow-up to make sure short and long-term goals are being met (Kettner et al., 2017).
In order to make sure a program is successful, you must have a way of measuring the pre and post implantation. At my current job, the company had an app that was used to communicate with all employees, but it was not the most user friendly. There would be delays in announcements and the communication was lacking through the app. The company conducted a survey to get feedback and they ended up rolling out a completely new program/app that has been much more efficient.
About 3 months after they released the new app, they asked for our feedback again and made sure to ask if certain areas were improved on and what more could be done to make it better. As of now, the company has reacted positively to this new change and continues to make improvements as they are mentioned.
